A native of Brisbane, Mortimer was a stand-out athlete from a young age, with Martial Arts being one of his earliest sporting passions. He trained in both Karate and Boxing in his youth, laying the foundations for his future MMA career. While he was still in high school, Mortimer began working at the Australia Zoo, where he developed a friendship with Steve Irwin’s security team, headed by some of Australia’s top MMA fighters. This led him to begin training with the elite Australian academy Integrated MMA. Since then, Mortimer has developed a reputation as one of Australian MMA’s most well-rounded fighters, equally dangerous on his feet and on the ground, and always exciting to watch.
