Li originally hails from China’s northwestern province of Xinjiang. Like many Chinese MMA fighters, Li has his martial arts roots in Sanda and Wrestling, holding titles in both. Currently a member of China Top Team in Beijing, Li has developed a powerful arsenal of Brazilian Jiujitsu skills. Known as “The Leech” for his excellent grappling, he has dominated the welterweight division in Chinese MMA and is now seeking to make his mark abroad.
