Liu is a product of top Taiwanese MMA academy Taiwan BJJ, training alongside other Taiwanese standout Justin Lee. Liu began training in Brazilian Jiujitsu in 2006 to complement his Muay Thai striking. He has competed in all of Taiwan’s major MMA tournaments, racking up impressive victories against tough opponents. When competing overseas, Liu proudly sees himself as an ambassador for both Taiwanese MMA and for his team. When asked about his competitive ambitions, his desire to make an impression is clear: “I will let people know who Andrei Liu is.”
